Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of auricular point sticking with beans combined with moxibustion nursing preventing urinary retention after hemorrhoid surgery. Methods: A total of 102 cases of patients after hemorrhoid surgery were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, 51 cases in each group. After hemorrhoid surgery, the control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was additionally given auricular point sticking with beans combined with moxibustion nursing based on the treatment of the control group. The first urination time, the incidences of urinary retention and urinary system infection, Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) scores, and wound healing time in the two groups were compared. Results:The first urination time and wound healing time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). The incidences of urinary retention and urinary system infection in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of VAS scores between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, VAS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of auricular point sticking with beans combined with moxibustion nursing can effectively reduce the incidence of urinary retention in patients after hemorrhoid surgery, relieve their pain and promote wound healing.
