Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Shugan Bushen tang combined with letrozole for infertility with polycystic ovary syndrome. Methods： A total of 56 cases of infertile patients with polycystic ovary syndrome with liver depression and kidney deficiency type were selected as the study objects and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group， 28 cases in each group. The control group was given letrozole， and the observation group was given Shugan Bushen tang combined with letrozole. Both groups were treated for three menstrual cycles. The number of follicles， endometrial thickness，ovarian volume，the scores of cervical mucus，and the changes in hormone level before and after treatment in the two groups were observed； the clinical effect， the ovulation rate and the pregnancy rate after treatment were compared. Results：The total effective rate of clinical effect was 89.29% in the observation group and 67.86% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The number of follicles， endometrial thickness， ovarian volume， and cervical mucus in the two groups were improved when compared with those before treatment；the number of follicles， the values of endometrial thickness and ovarian volume， and the scores of cervical mucus in the observation group were higher than those in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). The levels of luteinizing hormone，estradiol and progesterone in the two groups were improved when compared with those before treatment；the level of luteinizing hormone in the observation group was lower than that in the control group，and the levels of estradiol and progesterone were higher than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). The ovulation rate and the pregnancy rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The application of Shugan Bushen tang combined with letrozole in treating infertility with polycystic ovary syndrome， can effectively increase the number of follicles， endometrial thickness and ovarian volume， properly regulate the levels of endocrine hormones in the body，and improve the ovary function as well as physical and mental health.
