Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Huangqin tang combined with chemotherapy for colon cancer. Methods: A total of 84 cases of patients with colon cancer were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with CMF regimen, and the observation group was additionally given the oral administration of Huangqin tang based on the treatment of the control group. Before and after treatment, the levels of T lymphocyte subsets, inflammatory factors and immunoglobulin in the two groups were compared. Results: Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of CD8 + , CD3 + , CD4 + , and CD4 +/CD8 + between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment,CD8 + levels in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the levels of CD3+,CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ were increased;the level of CD8+ in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the levels of CD3+,CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ were higher;differences being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of interferon- γ(IFN-γ),interleukin-2(ILl-2), interleukin-4(IL-4) and interleukin-6(IL-6) between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of IFN-γ and IL-2 in the control group were increased when compared with those before treatment and IL-4 level was decreased;the levels of IFN- γ and IL- 2 in the observation group were higher than those before treatment and those in the control group, and the levels of IL- 4 and IL- 6 were lower; differences being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of immunoglobulin G(IgG), immunoglobulin M(IgM) and immunoglobulin A(IgA) between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of IgG and IgM in the control group were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the levels of IgG,IgM and IgA in the observation group were higher than those before treatment and those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: Huangqin tang combined with chemotherapy has significant clinical effect in treating colon cancer, which can effectively improve T lymphocytes and immune function, relieve the inflammation response and enhance the level of immunoglobulin.
