Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Liangxue Jiedu Tang combined with external application of western medicine for psoriasis vulgaris with blood heat syndrome.Methods：A total of 63 cases of psoriasis vulgaris with blood heat syndrome were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group.The 32 cases in the control group were treated with calcipotriol ointment and mometasone furoate cream and the 31 cases in observation group were additionally treated with Liangxue Jiedu Tang based on the treatment of the control group.The clinical effect after eight-month treatment was compared.Results：The score of Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI)and the Dermatology Life Quality Index(DLQI)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05).The total effective rate was 90.32% in the observation group and 65.63% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion：Liangxue Jiedu Tang combined with external application of western medicine has good curative effect in treating patients with psoriasis vulgaris with blood heat syndrome，which can effectively improve their quality of life.
