To observe the clinical effect of task-oriented training combined with antagonistic acupuncture for post-stroke genu recurvatum so as to obtain the new combination therapy regimen for improving genu recurvatum in the hemiplegic side of patients, thus to promote their activities of daily living. Methods: Selected 42 cases of post-stroke patients with genu recurvatum, and divided them into the control group and the treatment group randomly,21 cases in each group. The treatment group received acupuncture in the antagonistic muscle combined with task-oriented rehabilitation therapy, while the control group received common acupuncture combined with task-oriented rehabilitation therapy.Evaluated the clinical effect of patients in both groups according to functional ambulation category scale,Loudon's method of diagnosing genu recurvatum and knee-joint ROM evaluation, and observed the improvements of genu recurvatum in patients after 4 weeks of treatment. Results:The total effective rate of genu recurvatum according to Loudon was 76.2%in the treatment group, being significantly higher than 28.6%in the control group, difference being significant(P< 0.05).The total effective rate of genu recurvatum according to ROM was 90.5%in the treatment group, being significantly higher than 47.6%in the control group, difference being significant(P < 0.05).Before treatment, comparing the Holden scores in both groups, there was no significant difference being found(P > 0.05).After treatment, the Holden scores in both groups were higher than those before treatment, and the Holden score in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Antagonistic acupuncture combined with task-oriented training has better therapeutic effect than routine acupuncture combined with rehabilitation therapy in treating post-stroke genu recurvatum.
