To observe the clinical effect of Xianling Gubao capsules combined with caltrate D600 for osteoporosis.Methods：According to the random number table， divided 78 cases of patients with osteoporosis into the control group and the observation group，with 39 cases in each group.Both groups received the oral administration of caltrate D600，while the observation group additionally took Xianling Gubao capsules.Compared the bone mineral density，blood calcium and serum phosphorus of lumbar vertebrae L2～4and femoral neck in the two groups before and after treatment.Compared the adverse reactions during the treatment between the two groups.Results： After treatment， bone mineral density of lumbar vertebrae L2～4and femoral neck increased in both groups，compared with that before treatment，difference being significant(P ＜ 0.05).In the comparison between groups after treatment，the bone mineral density of both lumbar vertebrae L2～4and femoral neck in the observation group was higher than that in the control group，difference being significant(P ＜ 0.05).After treatment，blood calcium and serum phosphorus were increased in both groups，compared with that before treatment，difference being significant(P ＜ 0.05).After treatment，both blood calcium and serum phosphorus in the observation group were higher than those in the control group，difference being significant(P ＜ 0.05).After treatment，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the adverse reactions in the two groups(P＞ 0.05).Conclusion：The application of Xianling Gubao capsules combined with caltrate D600 for patients with osteoporosis can improve the bone mineral density and increase the concentration of blood calcium and serum phosphorus with fairly good safety.
