To observe the clinical effect of compound glycyrrhizin tablets combined with prednisone acetate tablets for systemic lupus erythematosus.Methods：A total of 48 cases of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus were divided into the control group and the observation group according to different treatment measures，24 cases in each group.Both groups were treated with prednisone acetate tablets；serious patients were additionally treated with cyclophosphamide injection；the observation group was additionally treated with compound glycyrrhizin tablets.Both groups were treated for three months.The clinical effect and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were observed.Before and after treatment， the expressions of CD4+CD25+regulatory T cells were detected， and the damage indexes w ere evaluated.Results：After treatment，the total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P ＜ 0.05).The levels of expression of CD4+CD25+regulatory T cells in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment，and the level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group，differences being significant(P ＜0.05).The scores of damage indexes in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion：The therapy of compound glycyrrhizin tablets combined with prednisone acetate tablets in treating systemic lupus erythematosus can effectively improve the immunoregulatory function and immune tolerance， correct the immune disorder， reduce the damage of the disease itself to tissues and organs，and enhance the medication safety.
