Objective：To observe the clinical effect of external application of Longjie powder on pain spots for cancer pain of digestive tract malignant tumor.M e th o d s：Divided 87 cases of patients into two groups，54 cases in the observation group and 33 cases in the control group.The control group received standardized treatment for pain，while the observation group additionally received external application of Longjie powder based on the standardized treatment for pain.The two groups continuously received treatment for two courses，fourteen days being one course.?Observed the pain control effect，adverse reactions and dosage of analgesics of patients.Results：After treatment，the comparisons of scores at all levels and the average scores in numerical rating scale(NRS)of pain between the two groups showed significance in differences(P＜0.05).The comparison of the dosage of analgesics between the two groups showed significance in the difference(P＜0.01).After treatment，there were two cases of nausea atⅠ degree and one case of vomiting atⅠ degree in the observation group；there were seven cases of nausea atⅠ degree and one case of vomiting atⅡ degree in the control group.After treatment，the incidence of nausea and vomiting was 5.56%in the observation group and 27.27%in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05).The comparison of the incidence of constipation atⅡandⅢdegree between the two groups showed significance in the difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion：The external application of Longjie powder has assistant therapeutic effect in treating cancer pain of digestive tract malignant tumor，which can reduce the dosage of analgesics，and relieve adverse reactions as nausea，vomiting and constipation.
