Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Qingfei Zhisou tang combined with compound methoxyphenamine capsules for postinfectious cough(PIC)with syndrome of wind incubating lung.Methods：Divided 120 cases of PIC patients with with syndrome of wind incubating lung into the control group and the treatment group randomly，60 cases in each group.The control group received compound methoxyphenamine capsules for treatment，while the observation group additionally received Qingfei Zhike tang for treatment，and the treatment for both groups lasted for 2 weeks.Before and after treatment， rated the degree of cough， analyzed the clinical effect， and evaluated the quality of life of patients by using Leicester cough questionnaire(LCQ).Results：The total effective rate was 96.67%in the observation group and 83.33%in the control group，difference being significant(P＜0.05).After treatment，daytime cough，nighttime cough and the total scores of cough in both groups were lower than those before treatment(P＜0.01)，and daytime cough，nighttime cough and the total scores of cough in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.01).After treatment， LCQ scores of 3 dimensions including physiology，psychology and society and its total scores in both groups were higher than those before treatment(P＜0.01)，and LCQ scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.01).Conclusion：Qingfei Zhisou tang combined with compound methoxyphenamine capsules for PIC with syndrome of wind incubating lung can effectively reduce the degree of cough of patients，improve the quality of life，and its clinical effect is better than that treated with pure application of compound methoxyphenamine capsules.
