Post-stroke depression is one of the serious complications after stroke.Based on literature research and clinical experience summary，the authors believed that the etiology and pathogenesis of post-stroke depression critically lies in yang deficiency with yin sufficiency，and the essence of its syndrome is yin syndrome.Treating for this disease under the guide of“treating yin disease with yang medicine”，treatment based on syndrome differentiation can solve complexity by using simple method and have significant clinical effect.
