Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre granules combined with ribavirin for children with viral upper respiratory tract infection.Methods：Selected 100 cases of children with viral upper respiratory tract infection，and divided them into the experiment group and the control group according to random number table method，50 cases in each group.The control group received ribavirin granules for treatment，while the experiment group additionally received Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre granules based on the treatment of the control group.Both groups received treatment for 5 days.Evaluated the clinical effect in both groups and recorded the antipyretic time and the disappearance time of cough，nasal obstruction and red swollen throat of children.Results：The total effective rate was 100%in the experiment group and was 100%in the control group，no significant difference was found(P＞0.05).The antipyretic time and the disappearance time of cough，nasal obstruction and pharyngitis in the experiment group were all shorter than those in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion：The therapy of Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre granules combined with ribavirin for children with viral upper respiratory tract infection can effectively shorten the disappearance time of clinical symptoms of children.
