Abstract： This paper introduces Prof. YANG Hongjie's clinical experience in treating Hashimoto's thyroiditis complicated with thyroid nodules. Prof. YANG believes that Hashimoto's thyroiditis complicated with thyroid nodule belongs to the category of goiter disease in traditional Chinese medicine. The disease is associated with unsatisfied emotions， binding constraint of grief and thought， qi stagnation and blood stasis， phlegm， coagulation， stasis and toxin. In clinical practice， he is good at treating from the liver， spleen and kidney based on syndrome differentiation，and pays attention to the liver's function of governing the free flow of qi. He adopts disease-specific formulas like Kangjia Formula as the basic prescription，and modifies medicines to boost qi and nourish yin，regulate qi and relieve pain，and dredge the channels and nourish the blood according to different risk factors of nodules (echo edge， calcification and blood flow， etc.). He treats the disease according to the syndromes，which always leads to a great therapeutic effect.
