Abstract: This article presents Professor CHEN Xinghua's clinical experience in treating menopausal syndrome using the Lingnan mind-regulating and conception-promoting acupuncture technique. Professor CHEN Xinghua identifies the pathogenesis of menopausal syndrome as kidney deficiency with adverse rising of thoroughfare vessel and disharmony between physical and mental states. Based on Lingnan regional characteristics,he combines JIN's threeneedle technique with this specialized acupuncture method to tonify liver and kidney,regulate thoroughfare vessel and conception vessel, strengthen spleen and stomach, and stabilize emotions. The treatment protocol typically selects Baihui (GV20) and Shenting (GV24) points to calm the mind, combined with yin three-needle technique [Guanyuan (CV4),Guilai (ST29),Sanyinjiao (SP6) points],Qihai (CV6) point,the four gates (i.e.,LV 3 and LI 4),and Tianshu (ST25) point to regulate visceral functions,achieving comprehensive regulation of both physical and mental aspects.
