Abstract：Juanbi Decoction is firstly seen in Yang Shi Jia Cang Fang （Secret Formulas of the Yang Family） by YANG Tan in Song Dynasty，which is later widely applied as its dose and components develop. Juanbi Decoction from the book entitled Yang Shi Jia Cang Fang （Secret Formulas of the Yang Family） is mainly used to treat generalized vexing pain，heavy pain of neck-arm region and difficult movement caused by wind impediment and mutual contention of pathogenic wind and dampness，as well as cold impediment of hands and feet，heavy sensation of waist and legs， weakness of sinews and vessels and other symptoms. CHENG's Juanbi Decoction of Yi Xue Xin Wu （Medical Epiphany） is mainly for wind-cold-dampness impediment. Based on YANG's Juanbi Decoction，Juanbi Decoction is continuously modified by physicians of all ages in combination with clinical practice to extend its scope of application. Later physicians not only take Juanbi Decoction as the basic formula to be modified in clinical treatment of impediment syndrome，but also extended its scope of application to various diseases such as flesh impediment，qi impediment and arm impediment. Modern clinical studies have also shown that Juanbi Decoction has a significant curative effect on rheumatoid arthritis，ankylosing spondylitis，osteoarthritis and other diseases.
