Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Yiqi Yangxue Runchang Decoction combined with Mosapril for functional constipation (FC) of dual deficiency of qi and blood type. Methods ： A total of 70 cases of patients with FC of dual deficiency of qi and blood type were divided into the control group and the treatment group according to the random number table method， with 35 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Mosapril， and the treatment group was additionally treated with Yiqi Yangxue Runchang Decoction based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores， constipation degree and quality of life before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects and the recurrence rates were compared between the two groups. Results： After treatment， the total effective rate was 97.14% in the treatment group， higher than that of 77.14% in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)， and the TCM syndrome scores in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the Wexner constipation scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)， and the Gastrointestinal Quality of Life Index (GIQLI) scores were increased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)； the Wexner constipation score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05)，and the GIQLI score was higher than that in the control group (P＜0.05). After 3 months of follow- up， the recurrence rate was 5.88% in the treatment group， and 25.93% in the control group， the difference between the two groups being significant (P＜ 0.05). Conclusion：Based on the treatment of Mosapril，the additional treatment of Yiqi Yangxue Runchang Decoction for FC of dual deficiency of qi and blood type can improve the clinical effect，effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of patients，enhance their quality of life，and reduce the recurrence rate.
