Abstract： This paper discusses the treatment of acute inflammation of mastitis during lactation with sinew- grabbing therapy in She medicine combined with Chinese medicine，summarizes the administration rules for lactation mastitis in acute inflammatory period from the etiology，pathogenesis，treatment and principles，and expounds the sinew-grabbing therapy in She medicine from its principle and operation steps. It is believed that excessive postpartum breast milk， invasion of external pathogens， moodiness， improper diet， inverted or damaged nipple， and improper feeding can lead to blocked breast collaterals， galactostasis， transformation into heat due to depression， and transformation into abscess due to exuberant heat， thus generally results in acute inflammation of mastitis during lactation. The disease should be treated by soothing the liver and regulating qi， clearing the stomach and dispersing binds， as well as reinforcing the healthy qi and eliminating the pathogenic factors. The oral administration of Chinese medicine and external application combined with sinewgrabbing therapy in She medicine can keep the milk unblocked，control the development of inflammation，make the breast collaterals unobstructed and harmonize qi and blood.
