Abstract：Objective：To observe the application effect of auricular point pressing with beans on patients with intractable hiccup after craniocerebral injury. Methods：A total of 60 cases of patients with intractable hiccup after craniocerebral injury were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， 30 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing，and the observation group was additionally intervened with auricular point pressing with beans based on the intervention of the control group. Both groups were intervened for 10 days. Clinical effects were compared between the two groups. Before and after nursing，scores of hiccup symptoms，the frequency of hiccup per hour， appetite and sleep status were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 96.67% in the observation group， higher than that of 73.33% in the control group(P＜0.05). After intervention，scores of sleep and appetite in the two groups were increased when compared with those before intervention (P＜0.05)， and the two scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After intervention， the scores of hiccup symptoms and frequency of hiccup per hour in the two groups was decreased when compared with that before intervention(P＜0.05)，and the scores of hiccup symptoms and frequency of hiccup per hour in the observation group was less than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The intervention of auricular point pressing with beans on patients with intractable hiccup after craniocerebral injury can significantly relieve hiccup symptoms， and improve sleep quality and appetite.
