Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Tufuling tang combined with compound Qingdai ointment for psoriasis vulgaris. Methods：A total of 116 cases of patients with psoriasis vulgaris were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method，53 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with Tufuling tang combined with compound Qingdai ointment， and the control group was treated with avi A capsules combined with calcipotriol ointment. Both groups were treated for two months. The levels of Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) and serum inflammatory factors before and after treatment as well as the clinical effect in the two groups were compared. Results：After treatment，the PASI scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.01)，and the decrease in the treatment group was more obvious than that in the control group(P＜0.01). The cure and effective rate was 90.6% in the treatment group and 58.5% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜ 0.01). After treatment，the levels of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)，tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)，C-reactive protein(CRP)，interleukin-17(IL-17) and interleukin-22(IL-22) in serum in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.01)；the levels of VEGF，TNF-α，CRP，IL-17 and IL-22 in serum in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.01). Conclusion： The therapy of Tufuling tang combined with compound Qingdai ointment has definite curative effect in treating psoriasis vulgaris，whose mechanism may be related to the reduction of the levels of VEGF，TNF-α，CRP，IL-17 and IL-22in serum.
