Effect of Hot Compress with Chinese Herbs Combined with Auricular Point Sticking on Recovery of Gastrointestinal Function in Patients after Laparoscopic Surgery
Objective:To observe the effect of hot compress with Chinese herbs combined with auricular point sticking on recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients after laparoscopic surgery. Methods:Divided 86 cases of patients who received laparoscopic surgery into the observation group and the control group according to random number table,43 cases in e a c h group. The control group was given routine treatment after surgery, while the observation group was additionally given nursing intervention of hot compress with Chinese herbs combined with auricular point sticking. The intervention in two groups lasted for three days.Recorded the time of first defecation and first exhaust, recovery time of intestinal sound after surgery, and scores of nausea, vomiting, bloating and abdominal pain before and after treatment. Results:The total effective rate was 93.02%in the observation group and 72.09%in the control group, difference being significant(P<0.05).The time of first defecation and first exhaust, recovery time of intestinal sound in the observation group were all shorter than those in the control group, differences being significant(P < 0.01).One day after surgery, there were no significant differences being found in the comparisons of scores of nausea, vomiting, bloating and abdominal pain in the two groups(P> 0.05).Three days after surgery, the previous four syndrome scores in the two groups were all decreased when compared with those in the first day after surgery, differences being significant(P<0.05).The previous four syndrome scores in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:The nursing intervention of hot compress with Chinese herbs combined with auricular point sticking can improve the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients after laparoscopic surgery.
