Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of diacerein capsules combined with Qianggui Xishu pills for knee osteoarthritis. Methods：A total of 100 cases of patients with knee osteoarthritis were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method，50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Qianggui Xishu pills，and the observation group was additionally treated with diacerein capsules based on the treatment of the control group.Before and after treatment，the changes of interleukin- 6(IL- 6)，interleukin- 1β(IL- 1β)，tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α)，Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC)，and micro RNA(miRNA) in peripheral blood in the two groups were compared. Results：After treatment，the levels of IL-6，IL-1β and TNF-α in the observation group were significantly lower when compared with those in the control group(P＜0.05)； WOMAC score was significantly lower(P＜0.05)；miR-146a，miR-140 and miR-21 were significantly better than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of diacerein capsules combined with Qianggui Xishu pills has significant curative effect in treating knee osteoarthritis，which can inhibit the release of interleukin， improve inflammatory levels， further repair damaged cartilage， better inhibit chondromalacia，alleviate joint pain and improve joint function.
