Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of matrix acupuncture combined with Kaiqiao Cong'er prescription for sudden deafness. Methods： A total of 62 patients with sudden deafness were involved. Two different treatment methods， matrix acupuncture alone and the therapy of matrix acupuncture combined with Kaiqiao Cong'er prescription，were applied to the patients and alternated every other day. What's more，the points selected were modified according to the changes of symptoms. Results： In the therapy of matrix acupuncture combined with Kaiqiao Cong'er prescription，the cure rate was 64.5% and the total effective rate was 91.9%. Conclusion：The therapy of matrix acupuncture combined with Kaiqiao Cong'er prescription has significant therapeutic effect in treating patients with sudden deafness.
