Objective： To explore the administration rule of WANG Huireng， a famous veteran Chinese medicine practitioner，in treating pulmonary nodules based on the data mining.Methods：Patients with pulmonary nodules diagnosed and treated by WANG Huireng in the outpatient of Zhejiang Hospital of Chinese Medicine from January 1，2018 to December 31，2018 were collected.A database was established and the data mining technology was used to conduct frequency analysis，association rule analysis and cluster analysis.Results：A total of 140 cases were diagnosed，involving 133 kinds of Chinese herbal medicines，and the total frequency of medication was 2 747.Among them，the most frequently used herbal medicines were deficiency-tonifying medicine(24.03%)，cough-relieving，phlegm-reducing and panting-relieving medicine(20.28%)，and heat-clearing medicine(18.42%).Forty high-frequency medicines were obtained；their natures were mainly neutral，warm，and slightly-cold，and their flavors were mainly sweet，bitter and acrid.Cluster analysis showed that highfrequency medicines could be divided into four categories：liver-soothing and depression-relieving type，dampness-drying and phlegm-dissolving type，spleen-and-lung invigorating type，and heat-clearing and masses-dissipating type.The analysis of association rules showed that Semen Armeniacae Amarum-Bulbus Fritillariae Thunbergii and Rhizoma Fagopyri Dibotryis-Radix Apioris Fortunei were the core medicine pairs，and the core medicine combinations were Semen Armeniacae Amarum， Bulbus Fritillariae Thunbergii， Rhizoma Fagopyri Dibotryis， Radix Apioris Fortunei， Radix Ranunculi Ternati，Semen Coicis and Radix Pseudostellariae.Conclusion：WANG Huireng treats pulmonary nodules with both attention to reinforcing healthy qi and dispelling pathogenic factors， and specifically， reinforcing healthy qi as the main treatment complementary with dispelling pathogenic factors and with neutral medication.In addition to invigorating the spleen and lung，he also attaches importance to soothing the liver and relieving depression，nourishing the heart and calming the mind，and drying dampness and dissolving phlegm.
