Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Congrong Tusizi pills combined with estradiol valerate for menopausal syndrome(MPS). Methods：Divided 64 cases of patients into the control group and the treatment group randomly，32 cases in each group. The control group received estradiol valerate，while the treatment group additionally received Congrong Tusizi pills. The courses of treatment in both groups lasted for 3 months. Observed and compared the scores of Kuppermanand Menopausal Quality of Life Scale(MENQOL) in both groups before and after treatment；compared the changes in levels of serum estradiol(E2) and follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) in both groups before and after treatment； compared the overall clinical effect between the two groups. Results：The total effective rate was 93.75% in the treatment group and 71.88% in the control group，difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment，Kupperman scores in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and Kupperman scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of MENQOL Scale in psychological dimension，physiological dimension and vasomotion dimension in both groups were respectively lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and each score of MENQOL Scale abovein the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the levels of serum E2 in both groups were higher than those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the levels of FSH were lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05)； each index in the treatment group was improved more obviously than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The application of Congrong Tusizi pills combined with estradiol valerate has significant clinical effect in treating MPS，and has better clinical effect than simple western medicine therapy.
